Pituitary and hypothalamic disorders
Disorders related to the Pituitary gland and the area of the brain called the Hypothalamus. The hormones that are released from this area effect various organs including the liver, thyroid, reproductive organs as well as regulate growth. Acromegaly, growth disorders, prolactin excess, and diabetes insipidus are examples of these kinds of disorders.
